![]() ![]() The addition of Resorts World opposite is a bonus providing more eating, shopping and obviously gambling options. Shout-out to the staff who were always professional and courteous. It’s a lovely property which feels airy, well maintained and friendly. Overall I’d say if you can afford it and don’t mind the location stay at Encore, we quite enjoyed the walk up the strip and if not there are always plenty of taxi’s and Uber’s. Biggest disappointment was Casa Playa for which we had high expectations, sadly the food was mediocre (for the price), service was rushed and our server was just annoying and “not too bright”, they just wanted us out a soon as they possibly could and that’s one of my biggest annoyances. Allegro is ok for a quick lunch but feels too open to the Casino so don’t book for a romantic dinner. Lakeside was also pretty good, nothing outstanding. ![]() The Buffet was a bit of a disappointment to be honest, way too busy (lucky we pre-booked, there was a 2 hour queue), food was a mixed bag some was really good, some just a bit stale or tasteless, also drinks are a rip-off and push you to adding the drinks package as it’s the same prices as two drinks. Jardin was good for a solid breakfast, good service, big portions. Best to worst: Mizumi was very good with a Nobu-like menu service was solid, food tasty. Dining wise we tried The Buffet (Wynn), Lakeside (Wynn), Mizumi (Wynn), Allegro (Wynn), Casa Playa (Encore) and Jardin (Encore). Didn’t need to queue despite being there around New Year. Bars very were good, we tried Aft (Wynn - outside facing the “lake of dreams” show) and Overlook (Wynn), all good service, good cocktails. Strategically situated in The Strip, allowing you access and proximity to local attractions and sights. Get your trip off to a great start with a stay at this property, which offers car park free of charge. Being directly connected to Wynn it’s a fairly easy 10 minute stroll through the connecting corridor and you’ve got all that Wynn has to offer. South, The Strip, Las Vegas (NV), United States, 89109 - See map. There was good interior design everywhere with tasteful touches, good coordination, no garish fibreglass statues etc. I think Encore has one of my favourite Casino’s, having a glass wall down one side and the use of lighter colours makes it feel open and airy, not dark and oppressive as you find elsewhere. Bed was comfy (if a little soft) and once we were over our jet-lag we slept well. Bathroom is also a good size with a nice soaking tub and double vanity, my only criticism would be the shower which was low, had a poor head and which you couldn’t actually aim downwards. Everything (lights, shades, air-con) is controlled from the touch-screen controller by the bed or Alexa. Decor is stylish and understated, not being a themed hotel helps, despite being fairly old and not recently refurbished it still manages to feel modern. Our room was lovely, the “every room is a Suite” is kinda true, it’s basically a large room with a divider, most other hotels would probably call them a Junior Suite. Turned out to be true, but it also helps that Encore (and Wynn) have triple (quadruple?) glazed windows. We upgraded to a Panoramic View King on the 54th floor which turned out to (a) have epic views and (b) be high enough to avoid any noise from XS and the Beach Club on New Years Eve. We arrived at Encore on a Tuesday evening at about 9pm to find a fairly lengthy queue at registration, they only had two staff working so it took a while to clear.
